Everybody knew it had to happen. The price drop for the Playstation 3 in the United States was already written on the wall. The UK and every other country but the US seemed to have the new Playstation 3 40 Gig $399.99 system announced. Sony of America has finally made it clear... they are ready to rock and roll with Microsoft and Nintendo. The Sony Playstation 3 40 Gig unit will be on sale in the US on November 2, 2007. Another huge move by Sony (one that made me finally get my butt out and buy a PS3 Friday... I love it so far...) is that the Sony 80 Gig Playstation 3 system dropped from $600 to $500. This is by-far the best deal you can get IMO. Not only do you get a free game (Motor Storm... the game kicks ass). But you also keep the bonus features that will not be on the 40 Gig Playstation 3 (added USB, PS1 & 2 backwards comp, memory card slots, extra 40 Gigs of HD space)... Either way you go the point is that Sony is ready to make a impact with the PS3. it is never too late and I am sure that between now and the end of Christmas 2007 you will see Sony slowly start to make a dent into the system numbers which both Nintendo (with the Wii) and Microsoft (with the Xbox 360) currently hold.
So here’s the new info on the two Playstation 3 models that are on sale now (80 Gig PS3 model) and on November 2nd (40 Gig)...
