Xfire Brings Fans World’s First Call Of Duty 4 Tournament!

Xfire, one of the fastest growing online gaming communities in the world announced the first-ever Call of Duty 4 online tournament for the PC, the "Xfire First Strike: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Tournament."  Kicking off Thursday, November 15, the tournament is Xfire’s first user tournament, with more than $30,000 worth of prizes up for grabs for competitors including new Voodoo computers, Nvidia’s 8800 GT graphics cards and Creative Labs sound cards and headsets. In addition to the open tournament, Xfire will host a series of events to celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated game, including a "Live Chat" and a "Play With" session with developer Infinity Ward, as well as three hours of pro-am sessions with top-ranked competitive teams. 
 
"We are thrilled to host the first PC online tournament for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," said Frederic Descamps, senior director of marketing, Xfire.  "By working closely with Activision and Infinity Ward to develop a series of free events never-before-seen on the PC, we have the opportunity to present a truly unique and exciting experience for our community."

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is rated "M" (Mature) by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Strong Language, Blood and Gore and available now at retail outlets nationwide.
