D2Comics Brings Digital Video Comics to Life
Posted by cwilson, Nov 15, 2007 21:50

D2C Games, Inc. a premier publisher and developer of downloadable interactive entertainment, announced today the availability of its line of digital video comics for the PC. Published under the D2Comics brand, the products offer a unique interactive multimedia experience complete with story action directed by the comics’ creators, original musical scores, behind-the-scenes video and audio commentary that expands the digital reading experience.

The initial batch of digital video comics from D2Comics, available exclusively through Direct2Drive (
http://www.direct2drive.com) and Download.com, includes some of the hottest independent comics from the minds of such luminaries as writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and actor/director Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist).

Whether experiencing alien Armageddon in Bad Planet, chasing aliens down on the farm with Alien Pig Farm 3000, hunting monsters with Steve Niles’ Strange Cases or kicking it with young Dracula in The Cryptics, there is a little something for everyone.

Steve Niles’ Strange Cases and The Cryptics are available for $4.99, while people who purchase Bad Planet and Alien Pig Farm 3000 for $5.99 get something a little extra in the form of video commentary.

"Comic book fans can now watch their favorite comics come to life in high-definition as each story unfolds through the eyes of the creator," said Christopher Sturr, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing for D2C Games.  "It’s a natural evolution for comics, and fans can now download this new form of digital media directly to their PC."
